Effective as of November 9th, 2013 (announced on November 8th, 2013), there will be a cap on the maximum number of Canadian Experience Class application annually – 12,000 in total and 200 per each occupation for Skill Level B on National Occupational Classification. In addition, the following six occupations for which work experience cannot be used to qualify for the Canadian Experience Class:
- NOC 1221 – Administrative officers
- NOC 1241 – Administrative assistants
- NOC 1311 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
- NOC 6211 – Retail sales supervisors
- NOC 6311 – Food service supervisors
- NOC 6322 – Cooks
