We have received a notice that our street will be under construction from June 4 until August 31, 2018. This work is being completed as part of the City of Kitchener’s Contract T2017-102 King Street Improvements, Ottawa Street to Montgomery Road.
The following is a summary of key points from the City of Kitchener’s notice that may be relevant to our clients over the next few weeks:
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 7:00pm. Access to businesses, residences and intersecting local streets along King Street will be maintained to the greatest extent possible; however, short-term disruptions will occur when construction activities are being completed directly adjacent to an entrance or local street…
Traffic Restrictions during Construction
During the completion of King Street from Jackson Avenue to Montgomery Road, two-way traffic will remain in place on King Street at all times during construction. Only one through lane of traffic in each direction will generally be available. Access to all abutting properties will be provided during construction; however short-term driveway interruptions may be required. Grand River Transit Service will remain in place during construction.
