The program delivery instructions (PDIs) on the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program related to the bilateral agreements and arrangements have been updated.
The updates to the PDIs are summarized as follows:
- Australia – The former age of eligibility (18 to 30) has been changed to 18 to 35.
- Denmark – The residence requirements have been clarified to specify that Danish citizens who reside in Greenland and the Faroe Islands are still eligible.
- Portugal – Portugal has been added as the 34th country that has an agreement with Canada, under the IEC Program. Foreign nationals from Portugal may participate in IEC’s 3 categories, starting at the opening of the 2019 season.
