Scotlynn Farms, based in Vittoria, Ont., has pleaded guilty in the COVID-19 death of one of its workers. It’s the first COVID-19 prosecution of an employer under the occupational health and safety laws in the province.

It is so sad to see such neglect when our food supply chain is so heavily relying upon foreign workers to support our food security. This case should help us to improve our current system to support everyone involved in coming years.
