Cornelis couldn’t return to Canada after his permanent resident card was stolen.
After a few calls, he realized it would take some time to replace them and left his family vacation to go to the Netherlands. He found out he’d have to travel to Vienna to get a new permanent resident card, so instead he went through the steps to get a new Netherlands passport.
The passport then had to travel to Vienna to get a permanent resident stamp so he could re-enter Canada.
