This March, I visited Reception House in Kitchener, ON to host a seminar and staff training session on immigration law. The Reception House Waterloo Region is a temporary home for government-assisted refugees. They do really great work, be sure to check out their website for more information. Since they work with Government Assisted Refugees they don’t usually have issues around client status, instead, their clients’ interests generally surround family reunification.
After my session, I received the following note from Bashir, their Caseworker in Client Support Services:
Thanks for coming and providing comprehensive information to us about the immigration legal issues. Issues discussed are really the most common questions we are being asked on a daily basis. After meeting with you, we are now equipped with more reliable information and are in a better position to refer our clients to you for legal advice.
Thank you, Reception House for having me, I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with your staff!
